Exterior
The Subaru Crosstrek features all-eyes-on-you styling with dramatic angles, sharp aggressive lines and an entirely new honeycomb grille design. A textured mountain motif has been incorporated into the rear door side sill plates and the lower trim tailgate to not only provide grip, but to resemble the all-new Subaru Crosstrek’s active, adventure-ready spirit.

Interior
The Subaru Crosstrek’s redesigned interior has been created with a human-centered design approach aimed at providing drivers and passengers with unparalleled practicality, convenience, and comfort.

The cabin caters to the needs of modern adventurers with ergonomically designed seats that provide exceptional comfort during longer drives, while also offering ample space for everyone to stretch out and relax. Along with room for all your knick-knacks and gear with an adaptable flat load cargo floor area with a fold down rear seatback split 60/40. The functional and user-friendly cargo space makes road trips and travelling an easy experience.

Crosstrek Technology

Infotainment system

Sitting proud in the centre of the Subaru Crosstrek dash is the latest fourth generation 11.6-inch touch screen infotainment system. The sophisticated system centralises elements such as entertainment, vehicle information and control switches within the centre display.

Connectivity

All Crosstrek variants feature full wireless Apple CarPlay™ and wired or wireless Android Auto™ connectivity, as well as AM, FM Radio, enabling ultimate entertainment convenience for occupants. They also feature one 2.4-amp Type-A and one widely used 3.0-amp Type-C USB port located in front of the gearshift to power mobile devices. Two additional power supply USB ports are also provided for rear passengers at the back end of the centre console.

Wireless Charger

For the first time in a Subaru vehicle, a wireless Qi charger has been made available. This supports charging of smartphones and other devices that are compatible for wireless Qi charging standards by simply placing the device in the centre tray. 10-watt rapid charging is supported for a faster charging rate, ideal for when using Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Crosstrek Safety

EyeSight® Clever Crash Avoidance Technology

In EyeSight® is a second pair of eyes that monitor the road ahead and recognise potentially dangerous driving situations. Using three dimensional images captured by cameras mounted at the top of the windscreen, providing audible and visual warnings to prompt the driver to take action. EyeSight® will also apply automatic braking intervention, when necessary, to help avoid or reduce the severity of a detected frontal collision. 360-Degree Panoramic View Monitor

In a first for Subaru, a 360-degree panoramic view monitor has also been added to the Crosstrek Premium and Crosstrek e-Boxer Hybrid Premium variants to improve camera and monitor performance. A 3D view/top view, that combines images from all four cameras, displays a 360-degree panoramic view around the vehicle on the 11.6-inch touchscreen. This improves visibility around the vehicle and contributes to the prevention of accidents.

Collision Protection

Your safety is at the forefront of Subaru design, that’s why we build safety features like airbags and our ring-shaped passenger cell into every Subaru. The Crosstrek features a total of nine airbags – including dual front, front side, curtain and driver’s knee airbags to help protect occupants in the event of an accident. The advanced airbag system uses an array of sensors to help deploy the airbags in the most effective way possible.

Crosstrek Performance

Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode

All New Zealand new Subarus feature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard, which spreads the driving force across all four wheels meaning greater control. X-Mode is a standard feature on the Subaru Crosstrek, which helps to reduce potential wheel slip on slippery surfaces or steep inclines when navigating off road situations, and the Crosstrek Premium and Hybrid Premium variants feature the deep snow and deep mud functionality. Boxer Engine

The Boxer engine sits low in the engine bay to help reduce the risk of injury to occupants by sliding below the cabin – not into it – in the event of a severe frontal collision.

Vehicle Dynamic Control and Braking Systems

Safety designed to help prevent loss of control is delivered via improved Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), which constantly monitors vehicle movement, engaging a range of technologies when required. With precision timing the VDC controls the Antilock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), TCS Limited Slip Device, Brake Override System (BOS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA).
